View Full Version : Can't Find Fix for Window Track Passenger Rear
Hi All:
I can't remember where I saw it, but there is a relatively cheap and easy way to fix the track on the rear passenger window. Just like many others, mine has fallen off track.
Does anyone know where that is? It provides a step-by-step way to disassemble the door, repair the track and put it all back together.
Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm sure I've seen it somewhere online.
Any help?
Thanks!
I guess I should be more specific. This is on my 94 Caprice LS LT1.
Wasn't sure if the year made a difference or if they all are a mess.
Thanks!

The sliders under the window that push it up break, this lets the window get all crooked and come out of the track. I haven't taken off the panels on the rear doors yet, but I'd bet they're a lot like the fronts. Just a couple of screws and a few plastic push-on door fasteners that you'll need to get since they usually are a one time shot.
The window fix kit from NAISSO is good for two doors. It has replacement sliders and the plastic fasteners plus a couple of pop rivets to attatch the new sliders. You'll need to get a pop rivet gun and if you like, a panel remover tool, very cheap.

i just got luquid nails the last time i was replacing my front speakers. now not a single vibration comes from that panel, except the change ofcourse, but that usually kicks in at about 50(sound level) when my brains are about to leak out of my ears. :Punk:

Speaking of mangos,
my driver's side window seems to have issues.
For a long time it was stuck in the up position. One fine day, just for shits and giggles, I, feeling lucky, pushed the lever.
It worked, the Villagers rejoiced.
Went fine for a wile, then same thing. Stuck.
Took the door apart, cleaned all electrical connections, reassembled, fine.
Untill it got stuck again. We did this several times, same results. It seems to work intermetantly.
One day fine. Next day, nothing.
I'm thinking bad spot in the motor.
Any other ideas?
