Why? did you find one?
Well when I first placed the ad I could not do a burnout to save my life I was told my POSI had gone bad. After Brian from PCMFORLESS reprogrammed my PCM I can do serious burnouts now. All I need now is the upgraded gear for the POSI unit and i will be doing things.
Actually POSI and burnout have nothing to do with each other so to speak. In fact it is easier to do a burn out without a POSI. If you are going to be upgrading gears, do the POSI unit too, since stock one will not hold up for long. That way you won't have to pay twice for labor.
If your now doing 2 wheel burnouts, beware... you may have a set of spider gears getting ready to take a quick exit. I've seen it before and it's not pretty. What happens is the spider gears jam against each other and the carrier which creates immense pressure... hence sooner or later a failure that could cost you a housing, maybe more.
Try a 4.3liter V-6 in a Chevette, mated to a THM-350... that did 2 wheel peels for a week or so... then the inevitable...BANG !! , then the call to AAA.
Well where can I get a good deal on a Posi unit and upgraded gears?
