Ok on Saturday that just passed I did the MSD 8.5mm and autolite sparkplug tune up. I also added a intake (PCV) I am now getting worse gas mileage than I was when i had old wires and coreded overgapped plugs in the car. I can't even come close to affording this kind of issue. Is it more air more gas? What could I have done to caise this problem?

What kind of mileage are you getting? Have you done and are you doing mileage calculations or are you basing this on more frequent trips to the gas pumps?
Also, it seems that our engines need a little while for the pcm to "get used to" any mods we do to the engine. (I could very well be wrong about that, but it just seems like that's the case).

I am basing it on my more fequent trips to the pumpI have my trip odometer set so I can see where she empties out at. verses where she used to empty out at.

Try some hotter plugs for those wires. (Personally I don't use autolite or champion plugs.) If you are not burning all the fuel that enters the combustion chamber, most of the un-burned fuel goes right out the tailpipe. Did the tune-up help the horses any??

Yeah I did notice improvement in my HP, but I couldn't tell if it was from the tune up or from the intake. I will buy some AC Delco and bring them to the meet so I can install them again. Is there a better recommended Spark Plug?
