Heh. I bet they are buying used cop cars, and then use them. I bet they've got caprices too.

Well, I know of one KGB caprice, but it patrols the streets of brooklyn. Must be a spy.

Was this picture taken on the basketball court of a School on Sheapshead Bay? The one near Belt Prkwy and a couple of blocks away from Oakleys carwash?

Actually Lincoln HS.
This is my 93. The original and other pics of this masterpiece you can see in pictures of your ride section.
DR2000 was wondering if there are any police Caprices in former union, so i figured if it looked like that, it would be pretty cool. Soviet police on 20's with some heavy armor.

Lincoln HS? Did you attend it? Just out of curiousity, where do you live?

Thats cool that you cleaned your car on Lincoln HS's court, if DR would of been doing the same thing he would of been bothered by cops countless amount of times. I think that the biggest reason for that would be the license plates.

Probably for the plates and for chasing people around too :)
Actually it's interesting. When I got this 93 from Texas back in 98, I had a spotlight and antennas and I tinted windows, I was never bothered by cops. Infact, there were many times when they waved to me and stuff, few times on the check points they moved the cones and let me out when others waited to get thru. I had few of my boys with me and we looked looked pretty serious, trying to hide our grins, they must have thought we were street crime unit or something. This one time though I was stopped in staten island for tinted windows at 2 a.m. Got 4 tickets and the guy took a tint meter thingie and tested the tint. Once I changed the whole look of the car, if I get stopped cops mostly just complement me on my ride. They look at my system, interior, etc. Unfortunately, within past 6 months besides complementing me, I was also issued complementary tickets to see the judge for speeding violations and now i'm paying the price.

Pretty much the same thing with me. Most of the cops compliment on the car, and I had numerous occasions when they let me go where people are not supposed to pass. :)

But there was one period in 2000 when I got stopped like 5 times in 2 weeks, and all of them wanted to know if I was thinking if I was a cop. And we never actually did anything to provoke that.

One of those times it was so bad that they made us stand in the middle of Coney Island for more then an hour with our hands on the car at 3am at night. So I figured that I must do something so that crap would stop. Hence the stripes, and the license plate. Of course a carefull choice of wording on the plate introduced a whole new line of problems, but that's another story.

Ah Lincoln HS, my old school.

in my sr year there my friend had a few ex cop cars and he use to pick me up there and we would bust balls to the other students.

Yep those were the days.

Didn't you already have the custom license plates when that happened? And they said something like "Do u think that's funny? It's not funny." Or was that a different story?
