you mean replace all the wiring in the car? well if you wanted to do that yourself you have to take the whole car apart. that would be very epensive, and time consuming. could you not find another car? honestly the guy sounds kinda flakey. when they say it runs perfect, that always means trouble, and why does the car have a "newer" lt1 engine? what happened to the original one? i really dont know what the problem could be, but i will discourage you from buy that car if thats what you are trying to do. try to find out why the engine was replaced. thats all i can tell you
I would agree, don't buy it. If you want a current gen lt1 car, and a camaro, just get a 94. The new lt1 is in there stock, and won't cost you much more than a 93.
As far as I'm aware, there's no performance chip of any kind for the LT1's computer. The PCMs are just reflashed. Hence, the guy is bullshitting you.
Actually 93 f-bodies/vettes had an ecm with a chip and a speed density setup. All 94+ LT1's had a pcm which can only be reflashed.
Wow, so even though 93 and 94 seem the same their are quite different, eh?
So many differences that I'm already aware of that I'd never pick 93 over 94...
Yeah, there are even more differences. Throttle body was controlled by a cable instead of the TPS. Fuel regulator, fuel rails and intake manifold are different. Also, the heads suck compared to the iron ones. Just ask Feliks. :)
