Hey guys, just a quick question, I found a cheap used tranny for the 9C1 but it's from a 95-96; what are the differences? Anything I have to worry about? I heard something about the wiring being different, anyone done this swap? Thanks

'95-96 has 1 more wire in the tranny connector, and your pcm needs to have '95 program in it, or the torque converter woun't lock up.

k well let me elaborate then... buddy who's selling it said he heard something about being able to short the third wire (maybe just ground it, I don't know)... any truth to that?

And a reprogram is as simple as going to the dealer and flashing it, right?
