hey guys, started hanging out at the cruise nights (damn it's been a while) and wanna make the 9C1 look real nice. This is my first late model MPFI vehicle so I'm used to cleaning smallblock chevies with nice chrome valve covers and air cleaners... just toss a pile of foam engine cleaner on everything except the distributor, soak for like a halfhour, and spray off.... Not quite the same with our motors :D

So what methods do you guys use? You do I clean the general grease/grit off of areas like the inner fenders, rad support, and the valve covers? I'm hoping to give everything a nice gloss, ala silicone spray.

My Silicone hoses also are pretty dirty, not much green left to em, just a lot of black soot all over... what's a good method for those?

And how about 1st base, Air Cleaner, and hoses?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

the old methods are the best for getting grime off... just some degreeser and a pressure washer (steam cleaning looks awsome for a few days). Then for the hoses, Mothers makes alot of good stuff for those to make them look band spankin new.
