Everything seems to be going my way this week. I think my tranny just kicked it.

It acts different from what my white car was doing when its tranny died, but I don't think it's anything else.

I noticed it when I heard the rpms were too high for 50mph. I turned the stereo off, and the engine was at high rpm. No tach, but I can hear it. Then I'd be able to go only at about 30 mph, then suddenly it shifted, accelerated to 50, and was ok going like that. Then it woudln't go to the next gear again and rpm would stay too high. Reverse works.

Is that tranny slipping? Or is it something else?

Really bad timing for this to happen.

Sounds a little like when my 3/4 clutch pack went tit's up.

same exact symptoms I had when tranny took a dump. and yes it never ever fails to come at the worst possible time.

I have reconsidered the bad part. I'm going to put my T56 in! I'll let you all know how that goes.:Punk:

Can a tranny kick at the right time?
Anyway, how many miles have you put on since you purchased it? Is it the original trans?
Thanks

Yeah, looks like the tranny was original. The car now is at 115K, I got it with 100K. Tranny going was kind of expected.

P.S. BBHP # 79 to be.
