First let me clarify the title i live in south mississippi petal to be exact small town where the 2 main groups are rednecks and ricers i myself have bowtie shaped bloodcells. The 1988 9c1 sleeper is still in progress in our garage gonna be putting out 500 lb torque and 450 horse throught a th400 when we are done with it...right now im driving an 83 caprice with a 305 that i rebuilt and ecm deleted air pump deleted k/n filter edlbrock rpm intake and a little higher duration cam oh and flowmaster duels of course no cat.
I was driving down highway 11 a 2 lane highway. It connects our town to a nearby town and then to a highway and just happens to be straight as an arrow for over 10 miles. I was going the speedlimit 55 and i look in the rearview and see this redneck in a big light blue toyota pickup tailgating the HELL out of this guy in an old lincon town car a little ways behind me so i deside to teach this redneck a lesson. I slowed down so the yota would have to pass both of us. I let him get even with me then i gased it just to the point before the secondaires kick in and shoot out in front of him. He thought he could keep up with me so he guns it to. To give him a little confidence i let up a little and let him sit right next to me by then we were going somewhere near 95 my speedo stops at 85 so im not sure. i let him creap just in front of me and steped on it the secondaries kick in my neck snaps back and im gone as i passed the truck i looked over and the guys jaw was practically dragging the ground i gave him a wave and a little wink and kept going by the time i was satisfied at the distance i had put between us the needle had disappeard behind the gadge bezzle and im sure i was doing well over 100 so i let off before i got a ticket. I'm preaty sure that the toyota redneck will be leaving more mature cars alone from now on. I think thats what sparked the vengence the fact that he was practically raping that poor old lincon town car behind me gotta stick up for the oldies.
