'95 Caprice

I have a rebuilt 4.3L engine in my '95 Caprice Classic. After long rides the car gets a rough idle and while driving between 0- 30mph the engne starts to shake. I get the check engine light after long rides also but it goes off. I don't know if it has to do with anything that is going on. Also, in the process of drivng the car loses significant power going up hills or accelerating after being at a stop light or sign. Can anyone tell me what is going on? My guess its a sensor, maybe the knock sensor :confused: Im also kinda of a new owner of a Caprice, 3months. Im looking to add mods to it but i can't find a website that caters directly to my caprice. i want to add more power to it, what can i add, thanks for any help that i can get

well see a local autoparts store will pull the code for you. sometimes they will to try to sell you parts. if you can get a code out of it, then i may be able to give you some direction on repairing it, i have some ideas now, but let's wait and see what the code is first....
