How do you clean your MAF?

hey guys, as I mentioned below the tranny problem is fixed but still a slight idle problem every now and then... so I'm gonna run the gamut, got a list of like 10 things for tuneup... how do you clean the MAF? just take it off and blow air through it? scrub it with carb cleaner? what

Carefully take out the screen, it's held in with a circlip. Be real careful of the little diode lookin' jammies, three of them, they're the actual sensors. Head over to Radio Shack and grab some electronics cleaner. DON'T get tuner cleaner or anything with silicone or any lubricants in it. Spray the whole thing down. Use q-tips to very carefully clean those little sensor wires, they're fairly delicate. When all is nice and clean, re-assemble. Light fuse and get away.
