my mass airflow sensor bit the dust for an unknown reason today.
im pretty sure that this regulates the amount of fuel comming into the engine. if anyone can provide further information or a link to info, that would be great. does anyone know of any cold air induction kits that would include a mass air sensor, or eliminate one? PLEASE HELP!:freak:

Since you have a 94 caprice, you can simply remove the maf. You can use hubless connectors from home depot to connect the intake pipe to the box. The car will operate in speed density mode.

If you plan to modify the car (headers, roller rockers, cams and further) I'd recommend getting f-Body 3.5" maf. The car will be much harder to tune without the maf.

Do NOT get a Granatelli maf. They are calibrated improperly from the manufacturer and cause all kinds of problems.

I believe (don't quote me on that) close to $250. It is easy to find one used on cz28 forums, ebay, etc. for 1/5 the price.

i picked up a referb. one for $150. see if your autoshop guy has a hookup. chevy gave me $210 for a brand new one. saved almost a hundred bucks and its alot better than finding a shitty one at a junkyard.

How would I go about switching the intake on my '95 Lt1 would I be able to delete the MAF ? I want to put one of those ram-air intakes on it.

You don't want to delete your MAF, it's your friend. Get a working one, stock is fine unless you're going for serious internal mods later. With a new intake you just move the MAF if you need to. The RAISS puts it right in front of the throttle body, the best place.

What year F-Body MAF do I need for my 94 LT1? I plan on doing a garage made CAI for my Demon. Any and all suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.
