This was cool.
Today I took about a half hour after work, waited for most of the rush hour to be over, and went for a little test run. (We needed milk.)
I was going up the road, not looking for any trouble, no radio on or tapes in, just enjoying the sound of the true duall.
Playing with the engine a bit, 60 to 90 will give the unspecting passenger whip lash, it sounds great.
I got about 30 miles or so out of town and decided to go home.
I'm on my way back, and for some reason, I decided to do a little Rice Hunting.
Now if I have the kids or my Mother law in the car, Ricers are all over the place. And they all want to play with the Old Man in the Old Fogey Mobile.
I was about 10 miles from home when I gave up the search.
Came around a curve, and Lo and Behold, TWO Ricers trying to line up. One wasn't too bad looking, so I thought that he might have something.
The other one, funny little tires, goofy aluminium spoiler that was taller than the car car ir was on, and of course, the three pound coffee can tail pipe.
:)
I ease up behind them, keeping back a little.
The Highway goes to three lanes at the point that they were getting set.
One Ricer right, one center. Mr. Spoiler in the center.
I pull up on the left like Old man is in a hurry to get the milk and go home.
I kept pace at 60 mph, I don't know what thier signal was, but apparently it had been given, because the near Ricer, (coffee can butt), revved and they both started taking off.
I put it down not quite to the floor, the Dynomax twins started hollering, the Madd Bowe Tie went from overdrive to third, and the funniest thing happened.
Spoiler Man just sort of gave up.
Took His foot off the gas.
The other Guy, Nice Altima, gave it a go.
At 70mph, I put it down the rest of the way.
She jumps to second, a nice high rev sound, hits 85 and finds third again.
I'm a length and a half ahead, 95mph is real close.
I hold at 90,
Altima Man pulls up slowly, His engine working hard for every inch of highway.
I had Him and We both knew it.
I gave my Baby Her head, 100, He's still there, looked over, gave one of those little "You got me" salutes, 105, He fades back to Human Speed. I've got hand it to the Guy in the Altima. He gave me a run. He didn't whimp out.
I had a couple of miles to go before I had to turn off so I held 105 for about a mile.
Took my foot the gas, just letting Her roll along.
Took my exit, got my milk and went home.
I was asked, "Where did You go for milk?"
"Wisconson. You wanted fresh, Right?"
That went over big.

Yup, we got fresh milk here. 'Cept, it's spelled Wisconsin.
Unless you we're spelling out like almost everyone says it, in that case....cool!
Nice kill too!!
