Server Hacked

Well, I'm sorry to say this, but looks like our server was hacked.

I've just updated the system, but in order to be sure that everything has been cleaned up everything needs to be completelly erased, and reinstalled. For that a lot of time is needed, and since the server is colocated, it is going to cost too.

Let's hope the system update has fixed everything.

Think it was an inside job??


Hackers (aka crackers) who malisciously destroy stuff really suck big wank, I think it is aok just to go around and peep inside and hae a look see, but when you go and destroy stuff, that is just plain wrong :(

Actually after looking through the system, and checking various stuff I don't see any signs of the hacker. Looks like it was a file system failure, which just reminded me that I need to do back ups more often.
