You know, I was thinking. Maybe we should have each person's photo for awatar, instead of their car. Car pics could be left for signatures. This way we'll know each other's face, and on the meet we'll already know who is who.
I'm sure most of the people have their photo in the digital format by now? What does everyone think?

We can also exchange cell phones, people should also have those by now, and if one of Capricers is in trouble of some sort, other Capricers close by can respond. There is a great reason to have strobes on, blow red lights and scream into PA system at everyone. Ain't nothin like a dozen Capricess rollin in at the same time to help you out.

well unfortunately it is extremely hard to keep a car like a 9c1 caprice full of gas (especially for a broke a** highschool student like myself). and well i got so deep in debts that i had to get rid of my cell phone.
about the avatar, i was thinking maybe somehow let other ppl put their car in the avatar, coz seems kind of unfair. maybe when they reach a certain amount of posts they get the personilized avatar? :D
DR I AGREE WITH YOU. IT WOULD DEFINATELY HELP. ALSO I WAS WONDERING HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT OF MAKING A GROUP OR CLUB OUT OF THIS? IF WE HAD ENOUGH MEMBERS THAT MIGHT BE POSSIBLE?
What would be a benefit of having this as a club? I'm just not sure. Give us ideas, and we'll realize them. Please do share, since this sounds interesting.

BEING PRESIDENT OF A CLUB IS HARD WORK. I AM NOT SURE OF ALL THE BENEFITS BUT I KNOW SOME BENEFITS ARE OFFICERS GET FREE STUFF FROM VENDORS. THE LONG ISLAND IMPALA CLUB GETS STUFF FROM MOBIL 1, MALORY BILLET, AC DELCO, TIRE RACK.COM A LOT OF CHEVY STUFF AND OTHER PERFORMANCE RELATED PRODUCTS. YOU CAN ALSO GET MONEY FOR FOR PUTTING SPONSERSHIPS ON YOUR WEBSITE. YOU CAN RAFFLE THE STUFF FROM VENDORS HAVE BIG MEETS AND HAVE THE VENDORS SPONSER IT ALL. LIKE I SAID I'M NOT SURE OFF ALL THE BENEFITS BUT I WILL DO SOME RESEARCH. IF ANYONE HAS ANY INPUT PLEASE RESPOND.
I FORGOT TO MENTION GROUP DISCOUNTS FOR JUST BEING A PART OF SOMETHING!
I like the face avitar idea but it may have its draw backs
Cell phone swap is good and if you have nextel phones private id can be swapped for walkie talkie functions
There are many benifits to making this a real club but dues will have to be collected.
One of the benifits is to get a permit for Floyd Benitt Field
I was there today and have the application.

Hmm... Permit to Floyd Bennet field? Would that give us certain privileges? Or just get us un-banned?:)
I think that face avatars is a great idea. I don't know how many people would feel comfortable with their face being there for everyone to see. However, it would be an option, not a must, which is cool. It would be great to see the person that you're talking with. Also it would be possible to recognize members if we would be passing by them on the street.

Well for starters It would get you un banned. They will assign a area for us and the draw back is no road stuff like dognuts, oops did I say that <Grin>
Im still looking into the NYPD course for a meet and a Instruction by my self on Police car driving there.
The only draw back is it will cost about $100 for the permit plus the club may need insurance for the meets.
I'm still looking into these and more Ideas for meet places.

Wow man, that would be an awsome thing - police course. $100 permit - is that a total, or per person? I'm sure people wouldn't mind paying for a thing like that - just depends on the ammount :).
I wanted to take some race cources before, and I was looking at driving schools, and all I know is that a course of that stuff would be mad expensive. So if we could have this for a resonable amount, this would be just awsome.

no man, i don't really care about the gas mileage, as long as i keep my car going :)
