View Full Version : 130mph?
Remember I said a while that we had some video of some people going to DC a while ago? EliGC just digitized that for us, and did some compilation of the best pieces.
Of course I, nor anyone else here has any idea who those people in the video are...
Enjoy!
Ok, upload is not working out.

Great soundtrack. I can't for the life of me remember who that is though. Can you help me out, I've been trying to find out who it is, but I'm stuck. (Kinda sounds like Delrium, but I don't believe it's them.)
The video is sweet too! You guys will have to add some track clips and some other "unknown" excursions!! :D
Great job!! Especially if you were driving and taping at the same time!!!

I'm pretty sure it's Crystal Method.
IMO, a movie like that shouldn't have been longer than 30 secs.

I don't know, you're the one with a digital camera and we still haven't seen even 10 seconds of any movie from you.
P.S. The audo clip is not by Crystal Method its: Clubbed To Death - Rob D (Kurayamino mix)

Yeah, I didn't want to saying anything either, even though you (MrSag) were the one who put in a negative vote. But since you kept insisting I can share my thoughts with you too. Actually they are pretty close to what EliGC said. You have that $3000 digital camera, and all I saw from you thus far is videos of your towels and underware hanging, or something to that extent. Why don't you instead of critisizing produce something, and put it up for us as an example of the standard that we should be reaching to... Ahm, yeah....

Yeah, that's the scariest part now that I think about it. Wasn't so scary then. Was going with the cam from one mirror to another: left, right, windshield... then cam false on the speedo, and what do we see there?!

Well, to answer your question... Because this thread wasn't "let's see what movie masterpieces MrSag has produced this week", it was a "what do you think about this movie I made?". So I expressed my honest opinion instead of sucking up to you. If you just felt like bloating, you should've posted "look, this shit is so cool!", and only allowed one one type of vote, which is "yeah, i agree, this shit rocks!". But if you can't take a little criticism, don't ask.
As of what I'm making with my holy-shit-that's-expensive camcorder... I think you've seen a video of you making a burnout? And the rest of the stuff I shot recently you're not interested in (footbag). That, and the camcorder belongs to my mom, who is currently traveling in Paris, France. With the camcorder, of course.
P.S.: I meant "gloating", but you know, close enough:)

Err, ok... First, I didn't make this movie. Second, with your criticism, you come off as an all knowing director/producer/operator/whatever else here. No need to act like an arrogant [whatever you prefer here]. Third, why do you see a need of sucking up to me? I'm not your boss or anything of that kind. That was totally out of the contest.
Ok, now I'm going to go, and, err, bloat for a while if you don't mind. ;)
P.S. Flame wars are cool, eh? :teeth:

I don't get it... do u think I'm the former or the latter? And what is it that I have said that makes you think so?

Well, you do have the authority of being the creator and prime admin of this board. And I wouldn't have been flamed if I gave the movie a "thumbs up" and replied with something like "this movie is totally awesome". Which is called sucking up.

First lest define two similar yet different conecpts.
Constructive Ciritcism - Where the critic gives fact, opinions and ideas to support his view/statement.
Criticism - Where no support has been provided to the statement.
Now, please explain in clear language why this "type" of movie should be 30 seconds, define the type of movie this should be and give the reason why the targeted audience(Caprice/Impala) owners would not like for this movie to be more then 30 seconds and then descrive the overall effect the movie would've made on the targeted audience if the movie would've been 30 seconds. Please provide any data you have gather on what the targeted audience would like, how you came across the data(by doing polls or asking questions) and provide sample of the material that the audience have liked in the past.
:D :D :D :D :D :D

Sure, I'll explain. First though, I expressed my personal opinion, so the targeted audience would be myself. Why only 30 seconds? No plot. You could only make a no-plot movie so long before the audience starts to get bored. What a 30 second movie could accomplish in this case is presenting a theme. There is a theme here, which is driving at 130+mph. Example? Watch one of those Pontiac commercials. There's a reason they don't stretch them for 5 minutes. There are also a lot of bad cuts in the movie. Shaky camera, overexposure, bad pans (never use pans unless you absolutely need to and you know how to). All of that stuff needed to be cut. Also, this does not pertain to how good/bad this movie is, but... Why is it so skippy and choppy? The capture card?
guys cool it off, the movie is aight.
ziggy was just expressing his opinion. and he is free to do so.
i feel like i should close this thread.
It's all right. I don't think we are into a flame war here yet. I don't know how everyone else feels, but I don't feel offended or upset by anything that's been said above. It's all cool.
On cutting the movie - say thank you that you don't have to watch the whole tape which is actually about an hour long. :)
