Finally got pulled over this night going to Atlantic City, and ticketed! 80 in 65 speed limit zone (accelerating)
Just cause I got a court date coming up I'm gonna put this stuff here so I don't forget the circumstances next month.
So I'm flying as usual, passing a ton of State Troopers up North, going in the left lane, seeing a State Trooper come up from the back, I let him pass and go after him and everything is as USUAL!
I get to the Bass River Toll Plaza, pass a 1992 Silver (ex taxi - pretty crappy) Crown Vic with NY plates. WE take off at the same time and this guy wants to race me. So obvioulsy I accelerate a bit faster than usual, fully aware that the State Trooper Barracks are coming up on the left, I fly past them and am pulling away from this 92CV POS klown, and boom, come around a sharp left curve and this Greedy troop is sitting on a grassy knoll... I go past him without reacting, on purpose of course, and actualy continue accelerating... and see him in the mirrors turning his lights on and jumping on the highway.
About two miles later, he pulles closer within about 6 car lengths to me, so I slow down to 70mph in anticipation and of course he lights me up! Sweet, I think, time for my first warning.
Well, he comes over, checks out my car, makes a conversation about my Caprice NJ State Trooper model on the dash, blah, blah, all smiles and laughs, and than goes to his car... 20 minutes later comes back with the ticket, explaining to me that I was going 80 in a 65 zone (with double fines) I THANK him for his work (happy to see that they're actually doing something, just not thrilled that they're gready enough to start pulling over Police Interceptors) And peel out straight on the highway, get to about 90mph until I don't see him and continue cruising...
Now I gotta start practicing saying: "Guilty, your Honor!"
What a sad experience. Sure gonna cost me too!
